Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to join our test team in Colorado. You will develop and execute VTB and HIL test procedures, set up bench configurations, capture anomalies, and author test reports under senior engineers.

This role requires a BS in aerospace/electrical/system engineering and 2+ years in hardware test or related fields. You will collaborate across subsystems and help improve test procedures to shorten cycles.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace/electrical/systems engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years in hardware test, system integration, or functional test.
• Experience developing/executing formal test procedures.
• Ability to operate standard test equipment and interpret data against criteria.
• Familiarity with anomaly reporting and configuration management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute VTB and HIL test procedures under guidance of senior test engineers.
• Set up bench configurations, operate GSE, and execute test sequences.
• Capture anomalies with detail for root cause investigation and track status.
• Author test reports summarizing results and open items.
• Update documentation after test execution and incorporate red-lines.
• Coordinate test campaign planning and hardware readiness.
• Align test objectives with subsystem engineers and pass/fail criteria.
• Maintain ESD discipline and bench configuration accountability.
• Suggest improvements to procedures to reduce cycle time.
