Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer who links engineering, quality, and supplier teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and delivery across the supply chain.

You will travel to supplier facilities up to 90% of the time to assess capabilities, review part designs for manufacturability, drive CAPA, and partner with internal teams to ensure parts meet specifications and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 4+ years of aerospace experience preferred.
• Track record delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Proactive problem-solving with strong judgement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to supplier facilities to conduct on-site assessments and process reviews.
• Review new part designs and drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Identify and investigate supplier quality issues using CAPA methodologies.
• Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement process controls and lean practices.
