Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a resilient Supplier Procurement Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality programs in support of AS9100 requirements and contractual accountability. You will manage the Approved Supplier List, assess suppliers, and drive continuous improvement across our supply chain.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform supplier audits, and ensure conformity of purchased products, with on-site responsibilities at supplier facilities or Axiom Space locations in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (ABET-accredited preferred).
• 4–9 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of AS 9100 Quality Management System.
• Experience with AS9102, NADCAP, and PPAP is desired but not required.
• Experience with supplier contracts/purchase order review and flow-down compliance.
• Experience with engineering drawings and industry specifications/standards.
• Proven ability to plan, perform analyses, report results and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply supplier quality and supplier management processes in compliance with AS9100 and contractual requirements.
• Developing suppliers to meet contractual and compliance requirements.
• Conduct supplier assessments/audits and support continuous improvements.
• Verification of purchased product and surveillance of product and processes; on-site reviews possible.
• Maintain records and performance of external providers KPIs.
• Establish and approve supplier quality flow-down requirements for procurement of goods and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Prepare supplier quality reports/presentations for S&MA and program leadership.
