Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Subcontract Administrator in Houston to support NASA missions. You will award and document subcontracts, develop templates, and manage procurement from RFx to payment, ensuring compliance with FAR and company policies.

You’ll mentor junior staff and collaborate with internal audit teams. The role involves reading fabrication drawings, leading source selection, and coordinating with enterprise procurement systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 15 years of experience
• FAR knowledge
• Enterprise management systems
• Leadership and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Maximo or similar application preferred
• NASA procurement experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Award and document commercial and non-commercial subcontracts per FAR and company procedures
• Develop subcontract templates for firm fixed price, BPAs, T&M, and cost type subcontracts
• Award purchase orders including interpretation of fabrication drawings for procurement strategy
• Analyze market trends, verify deliveries, approve payments, and maintain records
• Prepare RFP packages, evaluate proposals, and negotiate pricing
• Lead training for mid- and early-career procurement staff
• Participate in procurement enterprise management systems and supplier performance
• Support internal/external audits on procurement compliance
• Lead source selection teams and evaluation processes
• Develop and implement procurement policies and regulations
• Contribute to small business plans and outreach
• Issue/ administer subcontract task orders and data analysis
• Develop procurement reports and metrics
• Negotiate and execute IWA and NDA agreements
• Review and approve statements of work and task specs
• Perform other duties as assigned
