Job summary

Astrion in Arlington, VA seeks a Subcontracts Administrator to support pre- and post-award subcontract activities. Hybrid work arrangement, full-time role in a high‑tempo government contracting environment requiring CPSR compliance and strong stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience (or a Diploma/GED with 5+ years), extensive knowledge of various contract types, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience.
  • A Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in subcontracts administration or procurement supporting U.S. Government subcontracts, Civil, or Commercial clients.
  • Expertise in managing and supporting proposals within high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments for Defense, National Security, or Civil federal acquisitions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of negotiating and administering various contract types, including FFP, FFPLOE, CPFF Term and LOE, T&M, and IDIQ contracts.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-award subcontract administration support, including soliciting and managing subcontracts, modifications, and task and delivery orders.
  • Assist in formulating price strategies and price-to-win plans in collaboration with prime contract and project leads.
  • Review prime solicitation packages and draft subcontract solicitation packages to support prime proposals.
  • Conduct price analysis evaluations of subcontractor proposals and write detailed subcontract price analysis narratives for prime contract proposals.
  • Process task orders and modifications, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Astrion and subcontractors throughout both pre- and post-award phases.
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements and prepare small business subcontracting plans for proposal efforts.
  • Ensure incorporation of appropriate prime contract flow downs, company, and agency provisions into subcontract agreements.
  • Maintain subcontract files, ensuring compliance with CPSR requirements and the Astrion Procurement Manual.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring clear and effective communication with both internal and external clients.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Subcontracts Administrator. The Subcontracts Administrator will support both pre- and post-award subcontract administration within the internal subcontracts team. This role includes soliciting and managing subcontracts, modifications, and task/delivery orders. The administrator will assist in formulating price strategies and price-to-win plans alongside prime contract and project leads. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and drafting subcontract solicitation packages, conducting price analysis of subcontractor proposals, and negotiating agreements.

The position requires strong compliance management with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements and the Astrion Procurement Manual, as well as maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • In‑depth understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), General Services Administration (GSA) schedules, Government‑wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), and IDIQ contract vehicles.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
