Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA invites applications for a Structured Analysis Intern to support the Structural Analysis Team, performing simulations and physics-based analyses as part of Vehicle Design activities.

You will work with mentors in a fast-paced aerospace environment, gain hands-on experience in CAD/FEA tools, and participate in intern events. This 12-week on-site internship begins May or June 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical or mechanical engineering discipline with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internships, labs, or projects).

Responsibilities

• Work with your mentor and teammates to apply engineering knowledge and grow technically and professionally.
• Apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors to track progress and learning.
• Participate in tech talks and intern events to network with engineers across the company.
