Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Structural Analysis Intern in Long Beach, CA. You will support simulations and analyses, collaborating with the Vehicle Design team to validate space system components.

Ideal candidates are pursuing aerospace or mechanical engineering degrees, with a 3.0+ GPA and some hands-on engineering experience. This on-site internship emphasizes mentorship, growth, and real project contributions.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical or Mechanical engineering discipline and have at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internships, labs or projects).

Responsibilities

• Support the Structural Analysis Team with simulations and physics-based analysis.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Design and Analysis activities to validate designs.
• Work with mentors to apply engineering concepts and deliver results.
• Attend 1:1s and tech talks to learn and report progress.
