L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join the Space Systems team. This on-site role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software for integration, test, verification, and readiness of deliverable hardware.

The ideal candidate will have strong software skills in C++, Python, and experience in space/defense environments. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and deployment across Windows and Linux are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/Software Eng or related field with 4+ years of prior experience; graduate degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years with no degree.
• 1+ year of experience in C++, Python, or similar.
• Experience with space/defense environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software lifecycle to develop and test software for hardware integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and designs.
• Design, implement, review, integrate, and test software on Windows and Linux using C++, C, XML, Python.
• Support hardware integration and testing, troubleshoot defects, and improve performance.
• Apply DevOps practices and AI-assisted tools to boost productivity and reliability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
