Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Lead Systems Engineer in the Space and Mission Systems organization. The role leads verification and test across the product lifecycle, including CAM, EVMS input, and test architecture development for space equipment.

You will work within an IPT spanning Systems, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality, defining complex test strategies, mentoring engineers, and driving integration across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of engineering experience; or 7+ years with a graduate degree; or 13+ years without a degree.
• 5+ years of System Integration and Test (SI&T), large system engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide mastery-level systems engineering during verification and I&T activities for space equipment.
• Provide technical direction and integration leadership to establish disciplined verification practices.
• Communicate with engineering leadership, program management, manufacturing, quality, and customers.
• Mentor junior engineers and support growth of SI&T capability within the organization.
• Scoping and supporting EGSE and Test Software; develop test bed(s) and automation tools.
• Generate and maintain test documentation including requirements, design, plans and procedures.
• Travel to support integration activities and post-delivery support (approx. 15% or less).
