Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a System Safety Engineer to lead hazard analyses, safety assessments, and risk mitigation for the Axiom Station and related missions. You will work across programs to develop FDIR strategies, manage safety documentation, and support safety review activities with verification teams.

The role requires strong problem-solving, adaptability to fast-moving environments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance spaceflight safety and mission success.

Qualifications

• Hazard analyses, fault trees, safety assessments.
• Analyze flight systems to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Plan, perform analyses, report results with clear documentation.
• Work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, organizational skills, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system-level hazard analyses for space station and related systems.
• Prepare hazard reports and safety assessments.
• Develop and maintain control strategies including FDIR and mitigation plans.
• Participate in Safety Working Groups and reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with V&V teams to ensure safety-critical testing.
