Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT is seeking a Mechanical Technician at Level 1 or Level 2 to support mechanical integration, assembly and test of space hardware for the Sentinel Program. This 100% onsite role requires clear understanding of drawings and procedures and close collaboration with engineers.

The position emphasizes production readiness, CONOPS development, and potential travel (<10%). Compensation reflects Level 1 or Level 2 ranges with comprehensive benefits and a strong emphasis on safety and quality in a government-contract setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical designs and drawings.
• Willingness to perform assembly and test tasks on space hardware.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering stand-up and transition to production operations.
• Coordinate plans for Launch Vehicles activities in Promontory, UT.
• Ensure milestones and infrastructure align with contractual obligations.
• Maintain close coordination with Production Manager on technician activities.
• Participate in daily escalation and tiered meeting structures.
• Establish concepts of operations for full-rate production and assist automation.
• Occasional travel (<10%).
• Other duties as assigned.
