Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to design and validate thermal control systems for next-generation satellites and aerospace products. You will drive thermal concepts, models, and analyses across a cross-functional team, ensuring robust performance in challenging space environments.

The role requires hands-on design, simulation, and testing, with responsibilities spanning from requirements definition to manufacturing support and customer-facing reviews.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical, Thermal, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years in thermal/mechanical design and analysis; MS may count as 2 years.
• Expertise in electronics/PCBA, box, and system-level thermal design and analysis.
• Proficiency with simulation tools such as ANSYS or Thermal Desktop and MCAD tools like SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate thermal control systems for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.
• Lead thermal designs from concept through requirements, detailed design, and testing.
• Present design review materials to customers and management; contribute to proposal writing.
