Job summary

Vast is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to support the design and build of human-rated space stations. This full-time, exempt role in Long Beach serves as the main technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring end-to-end mission integration from kickoff to on-orbit commissioning.

Responsibilities include managing ICDs, coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking schedules, and overseeing payload integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Experience within the aerospace industry is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface between customer and internal engineering teams.
• Own the mission from kickoff through launch and on-orbit commissioning.
• Develop and maintain ICDs and requirements documents; manage verification closure.
