Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, California is seeking an Integration and Test Intern to support Space Systems Integration and Test team. You will work with mentors to apply engineering concepts to real challenges and help deliver a flight spacecraft through assembly and test.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering/physics/math degree with at least one semester remaining and a 3.0+ GPA, plus 3+ months of applied engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
• GPA of 3.5 or above is nice to have.
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience is nice to have.
• Hands-on hardware or test equipment experience, Python, Siemens NX, JavaScript and knowledge of spacecraft design are nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a mentor and department to apply knowledge and grow technical and professional skills.
• Work with a fast-paced group to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning.
