Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Space Systems Engineering and Acquisition Support SME to advise AFRL on space technologies, program management, and risk mitigation at Wright-Patterson AFB in OH.

You will collaborate with program managers and engineers, review designs and test plans, and support DoD acquisition activities with emphasis on space hardware, C2, optical/RF testing, and systems integration while travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk management as projects transition through CD/CR to build and demonstration.
• Experience with DoD program acquisition planning and execution.
• Strong documentation of requirements inputs/outputs and verification.
• Experience with space hardware, space systems integration, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and program management support to AFRL for space technology development.
• Collaborate with program managers, lead project engineers, and program teams.
• Advise on demonstrations, testing opportunities, risk mitigation, and technology advisement.
• Review contractor deliverables, milestones, and cost/status reports.
• Travel up to 20% for testing and technical interface meetings.
