Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Space Systems Engineering and Acquisition Support SME in Dayton, OH to provide Advisory and Assistance Services to AFRL on space technology development programs.

You will coordinate development efforts across industry and mission partners and advise on demonstrations, risks, and testing opportunities. The role requires extensive DoD PM/acquisition experience, systems engineering expertise, and the ability to work with DoD customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk management as projects transition through design reviews to demonstration.
• Experience with DoD program acquisition planning and execution.
• Strong documentation of inputs, outputs, and requirements.
• Experience with command, control, and communications for autonomous space systems.
• Experience in Systems of Systems integration and testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and program management support to AFRL in space systems development.
• Coordinate technology development with industry and mission partners.
• Advise on research demonstrations, testing opportunities, and risk mitigation.
• Attend design reviews and evaluate plans for system assembly, testing, and demonstration.
• Review contractor deliverables, milestone schedules, and cost performance reports.
• Travel up to 20% for testing and interface meetings.
