Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Systems Engineer SME to support a high-visibility USAF program at JBAB, DC, or Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role delivers advanced systems engineering, program management, and acquisition support to aid decision-making across aerospace, C2, and computing domains.

Requires active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility and 20+ years of engineering experience. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are required; travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of engineering experience.
• 15+ years supporting a systems program office or similar organization.
• Experience working on classified and/or SAP programs.
• Ability to independently execute high-level tasks and collaborate with SES leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to program management activities for a USAF acquisition program, including objectives, roadmaps, schedules, and budget inputs.
• Support creation of technical documents such as statements of work, specifications, leadership briefings, and specialized engineering briefs.
• Analyze contractor proposals and provide engineering support throughout design, integration, testing, and execution.
• Apply integration, communication, coordination, and planning expertise to R&D, acquisition, and cross-disciplinary activities.
• Plan and manage cost, schedule, and performance for system and subsystem development.
