Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Systems Engineer SME to support a high-visibility Air Force program at JBAB, DC, or Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

The role requires leading advanced systems engineering, program management, and acquisition support to enable effective decision-making across aerospace, C2, and computing domains. You will develop roadmaps, schedules, and budgets, craft technical documents, and analyze contractor proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred; TS/SCI with SAP eligibility and relevant security clearances expected.
• 20+ years of engineering experience with program/PM emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced systems engineering and acquisition support to USAF programs.
• Develop objectives, roadmaps, schedules, and budget inputs for programs.
• Prepare statements of work, specifications, and leadership briefings.
• Analyze contractor proposals and support design, integration, testing, and execution.
• Coordinate across R&D, acquisition, and cross-disciplinary activities.
• Plan and manage cost, schedule, and performance for system development.
• Support JCIDS processes, CONOPS, architecture views, and security accreditations.
• Assist in acquisition strategies and transition plans for PEO execution.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
