Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer–Acquisition to provide technical leadership within the OTTI program office at the Garden of the Gods Facility in Colorado Springs, CO. You will help translate capability needs into acquisition and development plans and work with government and industry partners to deliver test and training capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical subject area.
8+ years of experience in space mission ground/software systems, modeling and simulation, software integration, test and evaluation, cloud or AI/ML.
Experience working with multidisciplinary, multi-organizational teams.
Familiarity with distributed simulation methods (APIs, Kafka, DIS, HLA).
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in architecting, acquisition, development, integration and delivery of test and training capabilities.
Collaborate across organizations to identify challenges and craft timely, quality solutions.
Communicate technical recommendations to Aerospace and government leadership.
Maintain relationships with government leadership, contractors, and matrix teams.
Coordinate across mission areas to improve integration efficiencies and delivery of OTTI capabilities.
Define and fulfill OTTI roles within the program office.
Support annual execution planning to meet evolving customer needs.
