Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering – Acquisition and Systems Engineering Project Engineer for the OTTI program at the Garden of the Gods Facility in Colorado Springs, CO. You will lead systems engineering, modeling, and acquisition planning for test and training capabilities.

Role requires 8+ years in space systems, TS/SCI clearance eligibility, and travel about 10%. The position offers robust benefits and competitive pay within the US defense space sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in engineering or related technical subject area.
• 8+ years of experience in acquisition and development of space mission ground/software intensive systems, modeling and simulation, software development and integration, test and evaluation, cloud, AI/ML.
• Experience working with integrated, multidisciplinary, multi-organizational teams.
• Familiarity with distributed simulation capabilities through APIs, Kafka, DIS, HLA, etc.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent social skills enabling effective communication with customers, colleagues, and senior management.
• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with ability to obtain SAP; U.S citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in architecting, acquisition, development, integration, and delivery of test and training capabilities.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment to identify programmatic and technical challenges and develop solutions.
• Develop and communicate technical recommendations to Aerospace and Government leadership.
• Maintain working relationships with Government leadership, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Coordinate across mission areas to identify integration efficiencies and opportunities.
• Fulfill critical OTTI program office roles and support execution plans.
