Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an experienced Systems Engineering and Acquisition Project Engineer to lead technical and programmatic efforts for the OTTI program office. You will translate capability needs into acquisition and development plans, engage with government leadership, and drive integration across multiple missions.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and on-site work at the Garden of the Gods facility in Colorado Springs, CO. Travel ~10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical subject.
• 8+ years in space mission ground/software systems.
• Experience with modeling/simulation, software integration, and test & evaluation.
• Familiarity with distributed simulation: APIs, Kafka, DIS, HLA.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent communication with customers, colleagues, and senior management.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain SAP; US citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in architecting, acquisition, development, integration, and delivery of test and training capabilities.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to identify programmatic and integration challenges and develop solutions.
• Communicate technical recommendations to Aerospace and Government leadership.
• Maintain relationships with Government leadership, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Coordinate across mission areas to identify integration efficiencies.
• Define and fulfill OTTI program office roles within the OTTI portfolio.
• Support establishment of integrated fiscal year execution plans.
• Track progress and ensure execution of key OTTI outcomes.
