Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks a Journeyman Aerospace Engineer to support SSC Space Sensing activities at Los Angeles AFB, El Segundo, CA. The role covers systems engineering, mission integration, space vehicle, payload, ground system, test, launch, and readiness across the acquisition lifecycle.

The candidate will independently execute tasks, develop work products, coordinate inputs, and support reviews and government decisions in a fast-paced DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Professional experience at Journeyman level in aerospace/related fields.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes across lifecycle stages.
• Ability to review complex technical documentation and synthesize findings.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned technical or analytical tasks under general direction and elevate issues as needed.
• Apply systems engineering methods across concept development through sustainment.
• Review requirements, SPs, IP plans, interfaces, test docs for completeness and consistency.
• Track technical performance, requirements verification, interfaces, schedule, risk, and mission readiness.
• Support spacecraft, payload, launch vehicle, ground system, and mission-partner integration activities.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, readiness reviews, and working groups.
• Develop technical assessments, reports, briefs, white papers, and actions for Government review.
