Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks a SME Aerospace Engineer to support SSC Space Sensing activities at Los Angeles AFB, El Segundo, CA. You will provide systems engineering, mission integration, space vehicle, payload, ground system, test, launch, and readiness across the acquisition life cycle.

The ideal candidate has DoD/national-security space experience, and can influence technical direction, brief senior stakeholders, and travel as needed. Anticipated start date September 28, 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience as SME in DoD or national security space programs.
• Knowledge of systems engineering across requirements, design, integration, verification, test and sustainment.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and advise leadership on high-complexity issues.
• Shape approaches and lead complex reviews or analyses.
• Represent the area in senior technical forums and cross-organizational coordination.
• Apply systems engineering methods across lifecycle stages.
• Review requirements, SPs, IMPs/Schedules, interfaces, test docs for completeness.
• Track performance, risks, and mission readiness.
