Delta Solutions & Strategies in the Los Angeles area is seeking a SME Aerospace Engineer to support SSC Space Sensing activities. The role provides systems engineering, mission integration, and risk-informed analyses across the acquisition life cycle to advise leadership.

The ideal candidate has DoD or national security space experience and can influence technical direction, brief senior stakeholders, and lead complex reviews. Anticipated start date September 28, 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or space systems engineering within DoD or national security space programs.
• Ability to review complex technical documentation and translate findings into clear recommendations.
• Experience briefing senior stakeholders and advising government leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject-matter authority for the assigned functional area and advise Government leadership on high-complexity issues.
• Shape technical approaches, strategies, processes, and decision products and lead complex reviews or analyses.
• Represent the functional area in senior-level technical forums and cross-organizational coordination.
• Apply systems engineering methods across lifecycle stages from concept to sustainment.
• Review requirements, SPs, IMPs, test documentation, and acquisition products for completeness.
