Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a Specialty Systems Engineer to join a Systems Engineering Integration and Test team, focusing on risk analysis, MBSE modeling in Cameo, and multidisciplinary specialty disciplines (risk, reliability, radiation, cybersecurity) for space sensor payloads.

You will translate specialty analyses into actionable models, collaborate with SMEs, and ensure traceability from stakeholder needs through to verification and validation.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Masters with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship and active Secret Clearance.
• Experience modeling in Cameo Systems Modeler using SysML and Teamwork Cloud.
• Experience in risk management and one or more specialty disciplines: reliability engineering, availability/maintainability analysis, radiation effects analysis, or cybersecurity.
• Experience deriving requirements for complex electrical, mechanical, optical, and software systems.
• Familiarity with technical data management and report writing.
• Demonstrated change management, process improvement, and project planning.”

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Perform reliability and RAM analyses to quantify system risk.
• Support radiation effects analysis and cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain MBSE models in Cameo and ensure traceability from needs to verification.
• Collaborate with program management, design engineering, and logistics to integrate findings into baselines and designs.
