Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer Level 2 to support the US Space Force and its mission-critical space operations from on-site in Arlington, VA. You will contribute to system development, acquisition, integration, and sustainment under SFPAE-I and SYD 81, leveraging SE principles and SysML tools.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years DoD experience, TS clearance with SCI eligibility, and familiarity with JCIDS/DoDAF, DRM engineering, and CONOPS development.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Minimum 5+ years DoD experience in systems engineering, acquisition, or related programs.
• Experience supporting SPOs/PMOs and delivering systems to SPOs/PMOs.
• Demonstrated RDT&E experience and test/training materiel systems.
• Experience deploying and sustaining space test and training materiel systems.
• Strong SE knowledge and practical DoD process application.
• Knowledge of JCIDS/DoDAF processes and artifacts.
• Experience in space tech domains (EO/IR, RF, GNC, space data comms).
• Ability to work full-time on-site and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration for system solutions.
• Support DRM engineering and system analysis activities.
• Develop CONOPS aligned with mission requirements.
• Develop and manage system requirements, ICDs, and verification plans.
• Perform change management and technical impact assessments.
• Coordinate PPBE with technical efforts across SFPAE-I and SYD 81.
• Support SE activities through RDT&E, integration, fielding, and sustainment.
• Collaborate with government and stakeholders to deliver capabilities.
