Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the SLS SPIE element. You will provide interface design, requirements development, and verification planning, coordinating with NASA, SLS teams, and payload customers to ensure safe, reliable integration.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, MBSE, and delivering executive-level briefs while adhering to mission objectives and schedules. Travel domestically may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field; ABET-accredited preferred.
• Educational requirements may be equivalent to a Ph.D. with required experience.
• Experience in systems engineering, launch vehicle definition, and verification planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead/interface design definition and requirements development.
• Coordinate with SPIE, SLS, NASA and contractors; participate in reviews.
• Perform interface control document changes and risk communication.
• Prepare for vehicle processing, launch countdown, and flight phases.
• Develop payload integration interfaces and segment inputs.
