Job summary

Qualis LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Communication and Navigation system integration for the Space Launch Systems (SLS) SPIE Element Project Office, including ICPS and adapters for Core Stage and SLS elements.

You will interface with SLS, NASA, and contractor teams to develop and maintain the Communication/Navigation architecture that supports Artemis objectives, with some travel to NASA centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field; ABET accreditation preferred.
• US citizenship and STAR ID required.
• Strong systems engineering, verification, and integration experience with launch vehicle programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and interface integration support for SLS ISPE and SPIE.
• Lead or support interface definition, requirements development, and verification planning.
• Coordinate with NASA MSFC, SPIE, and payload customers; participate in reviews and meetings.
• Assess proposed Interface Control Document changes and their impacts.
• Prepare for console staffing during Vehicle Processing, Launch Countdown, and Flight phases.
• Generate and coordinate interface requirements documentation for payload integration.
• Identify and communicate risks using NASA Risk Management System.
• Develop cross-program products using SE&I experience to support Segment products.
