Job summary

Qualis LLC seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Space Launch System (SLS) SPIE element, focusing on interface design, requirements, and verification for ISPE payload integration. The role involves coordinating with NASA centers, SPIE, and payload customers to ensure safe and effective assembly and operation of payloads aboard SLS stages.

The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, development of interface requirements, and participation in reviews, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field; ABET-accredited preferred (Ph.D./Master's or BS with extensive experience accepted).
• U.S. Citizenship and STAR ID required.
• Experience in systems engineering requirements, verification, and design integration across aerospace projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and interface integration support for SLS ISPE design.
• Lead or support interface definition, requirements development, and verification planning.
• Coordinate with NASA/MSFC teams and payload customers; participate in reviews and meetings.
• Assess interface document changes and their impacts.
• Provide staffing for Engine/Vehicle processing and flight phases.
• Develop interface requirements documentation for payload integration.
