Job summary

CesiumAstro in Colorado is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design embedded software for satellite communication systems.

Interns will work with engineers on low-level drivers, BSPs, microcontroller programming, and user interfaces, with emphasis on clear written and verbal communication.

All internships are onsite, paid competitively, and involve presenting work to mentors and leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in BS/MS/PhD in CS, EE or CE from an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced coursework in embedded systems.
• Programming experience in C or C++.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools and defect tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded software for satellite communication systems.
• Work on microcontroller programming and BSPs.
• Develop low-level drivers and end-use applications.
• Collaborate with CesiumAstro engineers and present progress.
• Contribute to software for space electronics products.
