Job summary

Astranis is seeking an Assembly, Integration, and Test Intern for Summer 2027 to work on satellite hardware and software. This internship offers hands-on experience on challenging space hardware problems and a pathway to full-time roles for high-performing interns.

You'll join an interdisciplinary engineering team in Northern California, collaborate to design, build, and test components, learn test equipment, and contribute to assembly and environmental testing plans in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong hands-on hardware development interest in fast-paced settings.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operations.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test hardware and software.
• Develop and document assembly and integration test plans with multiple engineering teams.
• Operate test equipment (thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, scopes) for tests.
• Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental testing activities.
