Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold Software Program Integration Lead for the Space Suit program in Houston. You will orchestrate integration across software teams, systems engineering, hardware, and QA, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with V&V plans.

The role requires strong SDLC, agile, leadership, risk management, and excellent communication to coordinate stakeholders and drive solutions in a fast-paced, high accountability environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or MIS with 10 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and systems integration.
• Proven leadership in project management, stakeholder communication, risk management, and prioritization.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Define integration strategies and schedules in alignment with program needs.
• Plan how software delivery from various teams will work together to meet program objectives.
• Identify program software risks early and elevate to leadership for awareness and mitigation.
• Oversee software builds and integration environments, aligned with streamlined product delivery.
• Support system-level testing and validation; develop integration plans and resolve compatibility issues between systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional schedules and escalate issues that could delay delivery; track milestones and dependencies.
• Report software development status to program leadership and ensure integration activities stay on schedule.
• Act as the primary contact between software, systems engineering, hardware, QA/testing, and DevSecOps for the program.
