Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Engineer - Level 2/3 for our Space Sector in Redondo Beach, CA. You will provide modeling, analysis, and testing of dynamics loads for space vehicles and hardware, developing robust designs and ensuring readiness for flight.

Level 2 requires 2 years in STEM with a bachelor, Level 3 more experience or advanced degrees, with the ability to obtain US security clearance. Strong FE analysis and data processing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in STEM.
• Willing to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience with finite element analysis software and data processing tools.
• Experience in structural dynamic analysis and testing of aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural dynamics design and analysis using advanced numerical solutions.
• Establishing parameters for dynamics testing, dynamics test monitoring and data processing, and correlation of test results to model predictions.
• Preparation of technical documents and presentations.
• Demonstrated skill and ability to collaborate and lead in a team environment, ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks to achieve project results.
