Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Dynamics-Structural Engineer (Level 3 or 4) in Northridge, CA to join the Loads and Environments team. This on-site role involves analyzing materials and structures, developing dynamic environments, and supporting testing to qualify flight hardware.

The candidate will work with a diverse team, applying chemistry, physics, and material science to resolve issues and advance missile defense technology. Clear communication and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with relevant experience.
• Ability to present technical information to all levels and work independently.
• Experience with defense program analysis and structural loads is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis needs of defense programs in loads and environments.
• Develop structural loads and dynamic environments (shock, random, sine, acoustic).
• Support testing of components to dynamic environments and analyze data.
• Respond to structural analysis tasks and ensure flight hardware qualification.
