Job summary

Vast is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Subassemblies, to drive human-rated vehicle processes as Haven-1 transitions to flight. The role is full-time in Long Beach, CA, with responsibilities spanning manufacturability input, process optimization, and detailed work instruction creation. Minimum qualifications include a B.S.

in a technical field and hands-on fabrication experience. Preferred skills cover aerospace hardware, CAD tools, and GD&T.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing or electrical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on fabrication, assembly, and integration experience; CAD proficiency (NX).
• Experience with aerospace hardware and safety-critical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams on manufacturability of subassemblies.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and onboard equipment.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing plans, procedures, and work instructions.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure rigorous quality control and continuous improvement.
