Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Software Engineering Undergrad Intern for the Software Process and Architecture Department in ISCD. This 100% onsite role is based in El Segundo, CA, for a minimum 10 weeks while you pursue a Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering. You’ll work on diverse software-centric projects and gain hands-on experience with modern technologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program full-time after completion.
• Junior class standing completed by internship start date.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
• Experienced in two or more common programming languages such as Java, C/C++, and Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Academic transcripts are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide software development effort to a variety of software-centric projects.
• Participate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
• Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out prescribed scientific and engineering tasks.
