Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Social Media & Digital Communications Specialist who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. You will own the content strategy, run day-to-day social across X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and more, and collaborate with engineers to translate rocket science into compelling stories.

You will operate the editorial calendar, produce live coverage during launches and events, and continually optimize for reach and engagement using data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing high-growth social channels.
• Proven portfolio with campaigns you built and executed.
• Experience in organic and paid social campaigns.
• Willingness to travel for on-site activations and events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, maintain, and execute an aggressive digital editorial calendar aligned with missions, program milestones, and strategic company goals.
• Lead day-to-day execution across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Bluesky, subscriber newsletters and emerging platforms.
• Translate complex technical achievements into sharp, accessible content by partnering with engineers and production teams.
• Cover live coverage for launches, hot fires, spacecraft deployments, trade shows, and major milestones.
• Monitor analytics, test new formats, and optimize content for reach and engagement.
