Rocket Lab is seeking a Social Media & Digital Communications Specialist in Long Beach to drive content across major channels, engage diverse audiences, and translate complex space tech into compelling storytelling.

You will own editorial calendars, collaborate with engineers and production teams, and push for data-driven growth while maintaining Rocket Lab's distinctive voice and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing high-growth social channels and digital campaigns for a fast-moving brand.
• A sharp portfolio with direct proof of campaigns you built and executed personally.
• Experience in both organic and paid social campaigns and strategies. Deep understanding of rollout for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Build the Content Engine: plan, maintain, and execute an aggressive editorial calendar aligned with missions and milestones.
• Own the Channels: lead day-to-day execution across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Bluesky, newsletters and emerging platforms.
• Understand the Audience: tailor content for B2B, B2G, talent, investors, and fans.
• Cover the Action in Real Time: work with producers to publish live coverage for launches and major milestones.
• Translate Rocket Science: collaborate with engineers and production teams to turn tech achievements into accessible content.
• Drive Growth with Data: monitor analytics, spot trends, test AI tools, optimize for reach and engagement.
• Guard the Brand Voice: ensure captions, clips, graphics meet Rocket Lab’s tone and accuracy.
• Expand the Frontier: explore bold distribution strategies and fresh creative experiments.
