Job summary

Blue Origin Colorado location, in Honeybee Robotics, seeks engineers to lead the design, test, and manufacturing of motion control systems for NASA and commercial programs. You will architect closed-loop controls, derive requirements, and verify performance on flight articles.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering disciplines, hands-on hardware delivery, and a commitment to safe human spaceflight, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in electronics for regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of motors, gearing, feedback sensors, and motion control methods.
• Experience delivering hardware on schedule.
• Experience with design analysis and simulation using Matlab/Simulink.
• Mechatronics background and space-environment design experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect closed-loop control systems with motors, sensors, structures and drive electronics.
• Define interfaces between multiple engineering disciplines and synthesize system requirements.
• Present technical content to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on test requirements and verification methods for flight articles.
