Job summary

Blue Origin's Honeybee Robotics Colorado team seeks seasoned engineers to advance motion control products for NASA, defense, and commercial programs. You will work on architecture development, derive requirements, and support proposals, verification, and flight Article testing.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of relevant experience, a strong background in hardware, and demonstrated ability to deliver on schedule. Occasional travel and relocation are supported as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering functional hardware on schedule.
  • Experience developing and executing verification and validation (V&V) plans, including test procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (JAMA).

Responsibilities

  • Architect closed-loop control systems incorporating motors, sensors, structures, and drive electronics.
  • Lead program-level requirements development, decomposition, and traceability.
  • Identify and drive resolution of technical risks and issues across the program lifecycle.
  • Present technical content to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support on test requirements and associated verification methods.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and test teams to ensure design-for-manufacturability and program success.
