Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Air Controller for the Space Force Range Contract. This role involves controlling Western Range airspace, coordinating with test conductors and range instrumentation, and supporting launch operations.

The position requires multiple years of air controller experience, an aviation management credential, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Work is performed in the California area as part of a government contract team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two-year certificate in Aviation Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of air controller experience and/or training.
• Ability to control aircraft in a variety of tasks in support of Aerial Surveillance mission.
• Experience using an automated Air Control and Surveillance System.

Responsibilities

• Controls Western Range airspace and air assets for daily tasking and tests.
• Interfaces with test conductors and range instrumentation; coordinates with Air Force and government reps.
• Performs positive aircraft vectoring, air intercept control operations, and general airspace surveillance.
• Supports range launch operations in certified Duty Air Controller and related roles.
• Maintains logs, schedules range assets, and assists with troubleshooting.
