Job summary

Altus Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a Range Control Officer to support a government customer in the Avon Park, FL area. The role operates from the control tower, ensuring safe, compliant range activities and enforcing procedures during missions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of military aviation experience, a SECRET clearance, and expertise in JTAC, airspace scheduling, and related exercises. Will travel and climb stairs as required; on-site work, standard day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and military experience in JTAC/ATC or related roles.
• Current U.S. DoD Secret clearance or higher, maintained throughout employment.
• Experience planning, scheduling and supervising air operations on a military range.

Responsibilities

• Operate from the control tower to safely manage all range activities.
• Enforce procedures, maintain mission integrity and prevent unsafe practices.
• Serve as SME for JTAC, JCAS, JCS, and joint exercises.
• Plan airspace and range scheduling; coordinate logistics and site surveys.
• Lead training exercises for Range Squadron air/ground training complex.
• Attend after-action reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Complete required USAF training and maintain current program continuity.
