Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Area Control Center Supervisor to manage ACC and RCC operations for Space Force range activities. You will oversee planning, staffing, and execution of launch and aeronautical operations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires five years in a technical/military environment, supervisory experience, and a Secret clearance. Strong MS Office skills and USAF/USN air control training are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in a technical or military environment.
• Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Graduate of a USAF Air Weapons Controller/Air Weapons Manager, or USN Air Intercept Controllers Course or equivalent air or weapons control training program.
• Flexibility to work non-duty hours, or on weekends, to support specific project or mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Area Control Center (ACC) and Range Control Center (RCC) and its employees through the planning and scheduling process for launch and aeronautical operations.
• Ensure control of airspace and air assets in support of launch operations, pre-launch tests, and aeronautical operations.
• Serve as the liaison between Amentum, the Space Launch Delta 30 (SLD 30), 2ROPS/DON, Range Customers, and hosted organizations for Range support requirements.
• Support launch and aeronautical operations in USSF certified DAC, AC, SASC, and IC positions.
• Ensure the ACC is staffed with qualified personnel needed to successfully plan and manage launch, landing, and aeronautical operations.
• Ensure personnel are properly trained to execute their responsibilities and receive initial and recurring guidance, instructions, and direction.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to personnel to meet Amentum standards.
• Review work products prior to release to ensure quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions per SFRC’s PWS and CD RL requirements.
• Pursue initiatives to improve quality, efficiencies, and timeliness of enterprise solutions, products, or services.
