Job summary

Amentum seeks an Air Controller for the Space Force Range Contract to oversee Western Range airspace and assets in daily tasking, pre-launch tests, and aeronautical experiments.

You will interface with Test Conductors, range instrumentation, and government representatives, perform vectoring and surveillance, support launch operations, and help resolve conflicts between range resources while maintaining readiness and security clearances as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two-year certificate in Aviation Management or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of air controller experience or training.
• Ability to control aircraft in support of Aerial Surveillance missions.
• Graduate of USAF/USN air control courses or equivalent.
• Willingness to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Controls Western Range (WR) airspace and air assets for daily tasking and tests.
• Interfaces with Test Conductors, range instrumentation, and government reps.
• Performs positive aircraft vectoring, air intercept control, and surveillance.
• Supports WR launch operations in certified Duty Air Controller positions.
• Maintains logs, schedules range assets, and assists with troubleshooting.
