Job summary

York Space Systems seeks a mission-driven Solutions Architect to shape technically compliant, competitive satellite solutions for new business proposals across USSF, SSC, IC, NASA, and DoW. You will translate requirements into winning architectures, develop CONOPS and narrative content, and partner with capture and proposal teams to drive win themes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years supporting new business capture and proposal development in a government contractor environment.
• 5+ years in the space sector (satellite manufacturing, payloads, launch, or ground segment).
• Experience architecting end-to-end satellite mission solutions (bus, payloads, RF/optical comms, or ground segments).
• Familiarity with USSF/SSC acquisition processes, IC requirements, NASA lifecycle standards, and DoW frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex tech into proposal content.
• Ability to work under proposal deadlines in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical solutions for space mission proposals (RFIs, RFPs, BAAs, IDIQs, OTAs).
• Translate customer requirements into compliant, differentiated technical solutions and architectures.
• Develop architecture artifacts: block diagrams, CONOPS, trade studies, narratives.
• Collaborate with Capture, Proposal, Systems Architects, and PM to tailor solutions.
• Ensure feasibility, cost realism, and schedule compliance with Eng, PM, Production, Security, and Finance.
