Job summary

Muon Space in San Jose, CA is seeking a Product Manager to own data flow from missions to the ground, covering RF and optical links, simulation, and software test. Reporting to a Director of Product Management, you will own bits-to-ground communications and the Muon Sim twin for mission design and operations.

This hybrid role requires on-site work three days per week at our San Jose, CA office. You will craft clear PRDs, collaborate across engineering and mission systems, interview customers,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Product Management experience in technically complex environments.
• Experience with communications systems, simulation, test infrastructure, or related deep-tech software.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with multiple engineering teams.
• Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Own product roadmaps for bits-to-ground communications across RF and optical links.
• Own the Muon Sim digital twin for mission design and operations and its throughput analysis.
• Grow simulation into a software iteration tool for flight and ground software testing against the twin.
• Define features for software test infrastructure, automation, and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Author PRDs, align stakeholders, and drive roadmap decisions.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and other PMs to resolve intersecting capabilities.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback on product-market fit and translate insights into roadmaps.
