Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Power Design Engineer in Colorado to design, develop, and test power electronics boards for space-based systems. You will create schematics with OrCAD, manage PCB layout reviews, and develop FPGA/microcontroller interfaces.

You will collaborate across systems, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure reliability. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in space power electronics, derating and radiation considerations, and strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing power electronics boards for space systems.
• Proficiency with schematics/documentation in OrCAD.
• Experience with FPGA/microcontroller interfaces.
• Experience in hardware test/verification at unit/subsystem level.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test power electronics boards for space power systems.
• Create schematics and documentation using OrCAD.
• Manage PCB layout and design reviews with layout engineers.
• Develop FPGA/microcontroller-based control and telemetry interfaces.
• Support hardware test, verification, and troubleshooting at unit/subsystem levels.
• Lead electronics design efforts across the product lifecycle.
• Assist in space-grade component selection including derating and radiation concerns.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure product quality.
