Job summary

CesiumAstro in El Segundo, CA, invites summer interns to join our Analog & Power Electronics team. You will work alongside experienced power electronics engineers on design projects that support ongoing programs and help advance our technology roadmap.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on laboratory characterization and troubleshooting experience, contribute to power electronics hardware development, and learn across the full development cycle from schematic to testing, under supervision.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with a focus in analog or power electronics
GPA of 3.5 or higher
Strong fundamentals in electronics and related coursework
Knowledge of DC-DC converter topologies
Lab instrumentation and test setup experience
Experience with analysis and simulation tools such as SPICE, LTSPICE, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, PLECS, Simulink, MATLAB, ANSYS Q3D and SiWave, or HyperLynx
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Support design projects in analog and power electronics for space-grade hardware
Gain hands-on lab characterization and troubleshooting experience in the lab
Collaborate with engineers to advance technology development roadmap
