Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks a Space Portfolio Mission Director (Level L) to lead a multi-program portfolio through integration with ground segments, launch prep and on-orbit operations. Must manage cross-functional teams and complex schedules, with readiness for top-secret clearance. The role is 100% onsite, requiring U.S.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of Spaceflight Mission Operations experience.
• 10+ years previous experience in project management or leadership roles.
• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, track and update schedules and baselines of each program.
• Coordinate integration schedules with leadership, internal teams, customers and stakeholders.
• Own each program’s contractual responsibilities from delivery to disposal.
• Establish and lead direct reports and matrixed personnel to achieve portfolio objectives.
• Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
• Acquire resources for department activities, manage suppliers and lead process improvements.
• Establish Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) goals and improvement plans.
• Oversee integration of space portfolio vehicles to host and launch vehicles.
• Coordinate integration of space programs into ground systems.
• Coordinate system tests, including pre-launch and on-orbit testing.
• Ensure vehicles are ready to deploy, operate and meet mission objectives.
• Ensure programs are ready for launch and on-orbit operations.
• Manage overall operations of on-orbit space vehicles.
