Job summary

Millennium Space Systems is seeking a Space Portfolio Mission Director to lead each program through integration with ground segments, launch preparation, and on-orbit operations.

The role requires knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines, ability to adapt to timelines, and effective communication with customers and partners. Onsite work is required with U.S. Top Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of Spaceflight Mission Operations experience.
• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility (active within 24 months).
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace or systems engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update schedules and baselines for portfolio programs.
• Coordinate integration schedules with leadership, customers, partners.
• Own program contractual responsibilities from hardware delivery through launch and disposal.
• Lead teams of direct reports and matrixed staff to meet portfolio objectives.
• Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
